We are looking for a passionate aspiring biologist\/ecologist eager to explore the world of seagrass. 
The internship starts\u202faround\u202fMay 11th\u202f(flexible)\u202fand will take place mainly in Lauwersoog and Groningen. The main focus will be on the seagrass nursery<\/strong>, but there will also be opportunities to gain experience in fieldwork in the Wadden Sea or in the lakes of Zeeland, or to assist with other ongoing projects. 
 
Your tasks will include: 
\u2022\u202f\u202f\u202f Performing daily maintenance tasks in the nursery. 
\u2022\u202f\u202f\u202f Ensuring plant growth and quality. 
\u2022\u202f\u202f\u202f Monitoring ongoing and upcoming experiments. 
\u2022\u202f\u202f\u202f Supporting fieldwork. 
\u2022\u202f\u202f\u202f Optionally, developing and carrying out your own project if interested. 
 
What you bring: 
\u2022\u202f\u202f\u202f Energy and passion for seagrass. 
\u2022\u202f \u202f\u202fCurrently enrolled in (or recently completed) a\u202fdegree in marine biology, ecology, plant science, agriculture or a related field (University or HBO). 
\u2022\u202f\u202f\u202f Good English skills. 
\u2022\u202f\u202f\u202f No fear of mud\u2014willingness to get your hands dirty and pitch in with tasks. 
\u2022\u202f\u202f\u202f Driver license B and a bonus is the possibility to have an own motorized vehicle to get to the harbour of Lauwersoog.  
 
The internship lasts 6 months at 32 hours per week. Ideally, you would be available on Mondays and Fridays, with a day off in between, but this can be adjusted as needed.
