It immediately shows whether intervention is needed and which measures are most appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0Burrow Surveyor is continuously being developed.\u00a0Each new deployment provides valuable insights, which we use right away to further improve the technology. Under the working title\u00a0<em>RobotMol<\/em>, we have already carried out several inspections, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaenmaas.nl\/actueel\/nieuws\/2024\/juli\/experiment-robotmol-dassenburcht\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Inspection badger sett next to flood barrier<\/a> (Commissioned by STOWA\/Waterschap Aa en Maas)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prorail.nl\/nieuws\/dassen-graven-door-bij-spoor-prorail-ziet-preventiekosten-stijgen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Inspection badger sett in railway embankment<\/a> (Commissioned by ProRail)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Underground Inspections<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the Burrow Surveyor was originally developed for mapping animal burrows, the inspection robot is also highly suitable for other types of underground inspections. Consider, for example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wildlife passages and tunnels, where insight into accessibility and contamination is essential<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Measuring and inspecting erosion or washout\u00a0around civil engineering structures, for volume and risk assessment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other hard-to-reach underground spaces\u00a0where visual inspections or measurements are required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to its robust design and compact dimensions, the Burrow Surveyor can be flexibly deployed in a wide range of situations. But when needed, we take it a step further: we generate a detailed 3D model of the surveyed area.
