Rijkswaterstaat Field Visit at the Grevelingenmeer

Today the fieldwork company joined Rijkswaterstaat for a visit to one of our seagrass restoration sites in Lake Grevelingen, as part of ongoing work under the European Water Framework Directive.

Although strong winds prevented us from snorkeling at the restoration plots, the field day provided an excellent opportunity for in-depth discussions on the progress, results, and remaining challenges of the project. Together with our consortium partners Witteveen+Bos, Altenburg & Wymenga ecologisch onderzoek, and the University of Groningen, we also organised several mini-workshops on seagrass ecology and restoration techniques.

We look forward to continuing our joint efforts toward healthier and more resilient marine habitats
