Supporting the NIOZ’s SUBES project

This spring, the fieldwork company is joining SUBES, a research project conducted by the NIOZ for Rijkswaterstaat, which is focused on mapping the benthic community of the subtidal Wadden Sea.

Between March and May 2025, our fieldworkers will support the collection of samples during four dedicated survey campaigns. The project aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of the deeper parts of the Dutch Wadden Sea. Sampling will be conducted aboard the RV Wim Wolff, NIOZ’s new state-of-the-art research vessel, by box-coring, as well as manual core sampling from zodiacs.

Building on extensive experience in Wadden Sea fieldwork and previous collaborations with NIOZ, our team is well prepared for and looking forward to supporting the logistical and practical demands of this project.
