Underwater camera “BRUCE”

The Fieldwork Company assisted the University of Groningen in a sea going cruise in October 2019 to collect data on different sea bed habitats and the associated macrofauna communities on the Dutch Continental shelf for the DISCLOSE project. The tow video camera system “Bruce” , build by the Fieldwork Company, was applied successfully on several stations, even in heavy weather. Bruce was also applied in a trial to test its capability to detect shell fish concentrations. The data are currently analysed and will be published in the near future.
