Seagrass seeding machine recognized as most efficient method for intertidal seagrass restoration

Earlier this year, our colleagues at Project Seagrass and Swansea University / Prifysgol Abertawe published a paper in the scientific journal Ecological Engineering on the mechanization of seagrass restoration.

We are proud that our seagrass seeding machine, referred to as the DIS Wheel in the publication, was included in their research. The results show that it is the most efficient method among those tested for seed-based seagrass restoration in intertidal areas.

The paper was published in May 2025, right in the middle of our fieldwork season. We are delighted to take a moment to share this recognition and celebrate the continued collaboration and innovation that helps advance seagrass restoration.
